SEO Tip 26:   Major search engines look at hyperlinks and the words in the hyperlinks.  You should have many hyperlinks to each of your pages but remember to use your keywords in these hyperlinks.  Use anchor text not only for links to other pages on your site but also to other web pages outside your site that someone else owns (ie blogs, articles and other web sites that have information about your web site.)  Remember to stay with a few main keywords or 1 or 2 phrases and use those consistently throughout your web site rather than trying to use 50 to 100 keywords as too many keywords does not help your rankings.

SEO Tip 25: Major search engines look at the title meta tag TITLE not only for title searches but also for rankings in non title searches. Make sure your keywords are in the title. Make sure all the words in your title are all essential. Some search engines only look at the first 50 characters in the Title tag. SEO Tip 20: Design your Web Site for SEO. Design your web site with a clear hierarchy. Each page should be reachable from at least one static text link. SEO Tip 11: Stay current with your web site and maintain it well. Check for broken links and correct spelling mistakes. Test your site to make sure that it appears correctly in different browsers. SEO Tip 9: Major search engines that try to follow hyperlinks into all files however files that are coding language files cannot always be followed. This means if you have tons of files that are not html files you are not guaranteed the major search engines will read all of them. Html hyperlinks to other html pages can easily be followed by the major site crawlers. Html hyperlinks to code files are not guaranteed to be followed.  There also is code you can add to turn off crawlers from crawling certain files so make sure that code in not in your file if you want that file crawled.
